Job Title: Air Rifle Coach

Location: Hyderabad
Reports to: Head of Sports / Activities Coordinator / Principal
Employment Type: Part-time / Full-time

Job Purpose:

To train and mentor students in the discipline of air rifle shooting, emphasizing safety, precision, concentration, and sportsmanship. The coach will design and implement a structured training program that helps students build technical competence and mental focus, and may prepare them for competitions at inter-school, national, or international levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Instruction

Conduct regular training sessions in air rifle shooting using age-appropriate techniques and equipment.
Teach students the fundamentals of marksmanship, including stance, breathing control, aiming, trigger control, and follow-through.
Ensure progression through basic to advanced shooting skills.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce strict safety protocols at all times on and around the shooting range.
Educate students on the responsible handling, care, and maintenance of air rifles.
Ensure compliance with all local, national, and school-level safety regulations and legal requirements.

Program Development

Develop and update a comprehensive training curriculum suitable for beginner to advanced levels.
Create individual improvement plans for students and track progress over time.
Organize internal assessments, mock competitions, and team trials.

Competition & Events

Prepare students for participation in school-level, regional, and national competitions.
Accompany students to shooting events and provide coaching during matches.
Collaborate with the sports department to plan and host inter-school events or showcases.

Equipment Management

Maintain and monitor all air rifle equipment, including rifles, pellets, targets, safety gear, and range setup.
Conduct routine equipment checks to ensure functionality and safety.
Maintain inventory and provide requisition lists for consumables and repairs.

Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with the Head of Sports and school leadership to align the program with overall student development goals.
Maintain attendance, training logs, and performance records.
Communicate with parents and school staff about student progress and achievements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Certified Air Rifle Instructor / Coach from a recognized shooting sports authority (e.g., ISSF, NRAI, NSRA, or equivalent)
Proven experience coaching students or youth in air rifle shooting
Experience working in a school or educational environment (preferred)
Familiarity with national/international competition standards and safety regulations
